Ingredients
- 30oz green peas (drain if using canned)
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 8oz cup sour cream
- 3⁄4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1⁄3 cup cheddar cheese, grated (Mexican 4-cheese)
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Ritz cracker, crushed
- ground cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Mix soup, sour cream and 1/3 cup 4 cheese Mexican blend and salt together.
- Fold in peas.
- Spread into an 8X8 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with 3/4 cup cheddar cheese.
- Mix melted butter with cracker crumbs.
- Spread over top of cheese.
- Sprinkle Cayenne pepper over the top if using.
- Bake at 350 Degrees until bubbly and golden brown, about 30 minutes.
Notes: Instead of the butter and cracker topping, bake without for 20min, then add French’s fried onions and bake the remaining 10 minutes.
